Accountabilities:
- Execute month-end close activities, including cash entries, bank reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, payroll journal entries, depreciation and amortization journals, and other accounting adjustments.
- Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and comply with relevant accounting standards, including US GAAP and local GAAP requirements.
- Prepare and support monthly management accounts, financial reports, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, working papers, and supporting schedules for assigned ledger accounts.
- Support the integration of new entities and countries into finance operations by collaborating with regional accounting, treasury, accounts payable, and collections teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, strengthen internal controls, and introduce automation solutions to increase efficiency.
- Contribute to finance transformation projects, including ERP implementations, audits, transfer pricing activities, payroll reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with remote colleagues and stakeholders across different regions to resolve accounting queries and maintain operational accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a multinational or publicly traded organization.
- Experience managing multi-currency transactions, consolidations, and global accounting processes.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close procedures.
- Experience with payroll accounting across multiple countries is an advantage.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial data and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive financial activities while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote or home-office environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with international teams across different time zones.
