Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking an Engineering Technician Level 3 on the Integration & Test (I&T) of Northrop Grumman Spacecraft to join our team in Gilbert, AZ. This role is ideal for candidates seeking to grow in mechanical, electromechanical, and aerospace system integration within a dynamic and high-stakes environment.     This role involves performing a variety of duties assisting engineers in mechanical and electromechanical engineering designs, fabrication, testing, modification, and assembly of spacecraft and support equipment.The candidate will be required to perform the following tasks:Draft and interpret detailed drawings for fabrication.Fabricate, assemble, and install mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic components or assemblies.Set up and conduct prototype unit and subsystem tests under operational conditions.Analyze test data, identify issues, and recommend modifications.Support critical space flight hardware integration with high attention to detail and safety.Maintain clean room protocols, hazardous material handling, and operational procedures.Work flexible schedules, including off shifts, weekends, overtime, there are some opportunities where a willingness to travel for launch campaigns (up to 25% domestic travel) may be available.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Integration & Test Support to include the following areas:Lead test configuration setups.Set up, troubleshoot, and repair Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), including test racks and desktop equipment.Assist in cable design and test configuration development.Navigate and execute test scripts in Maestro and AstroRT environments.Verify completion of testing events and associated documentation.Support critical/hazardous operations as needed.Assembly & Fabrication to include the following areas:Perform mechanical assembly, wire harnessing, and soldering.Apply epoxy bonding and polymeric applications for spaceflight hardware.Utilize precision torque techniques for fastener installations.Equipment & Process Management:Maintain work areas in compliance with ESD, FOD, and 5S standards.Perform calibration and preventative maintenance of electronic equipment.Support discrepancy documentation and resolution.Utilize software tools such as Solumina MES, TipQA, Windchill, and CREO View.Other duties as assignedThe ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
