Responsibilities

  • Execute global payroll administration duties
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to design scalable and efficient processes to support a growing Company
  • Administer payroll and  related systems and optimize configurations to maximize scalability and employee experience
  • Process full-cycle payroll operations for all domestic and international employees
  • Contribute to the improvement of current operating procedures to reflect best-in-class practices
  • Ensure payroll tax & state registration compliance for remote workforce
  • Ensure the proper documentation, recordkeeping, and accounting for all payroll and related equity transactions including audit support
  • Addressing financial and 401k audit requests as they relate to this role
  • Enforce compensation policies regarding approval guidelines and documentation
  • Assist in designing fit-for-purpose controls ahead of planned SOX readiness initiatives
  • Review and approve the processing of manual checks for terminations as necessary, and keep in compliance with state and federal requirements as applicable
  • Partner with Leave Administrator to ensure computation of pay is consistent and comprehensive with all eligible supplemental benefits
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience

  • Payroll administration experience at a high-growth tech company 
  • Experience with widely adopted HRIS solutions (equity platforms a plus) including system implementation and design
  • Benefits and related tax support a plus
  • 8+ years of Payroll operations experience or a combination of education and experience
  • Software and/or Life Science  industry experience a plus

Skills

  • Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation
  • NetSuite, Workday, ADP, Bill.com & Expensify
  • A self-starter who learns quickly delivers high-quality work and can adapt to challenges, either individually or as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and quickly establish credibility by identifying problems and recommending solutions
  • A keen focus on scale, end-to-end automation, and evolving processes for scale and efficiency

Education, Certifications, Licenses

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
