Accountabilities:
- Design and implement scalable data architectures aligned with business objectives, collaborating with engineering and product teams to support evolving requirements.
- Build, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows to ensure efficient and reliable data processing.
- Develop data warehouse and data lake solutions while ensuring data integrity, quality, security, and performance.
- Create and maintain automated data pipelines using orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow and dbt.
- Develop advanced SQL queries and optimize database performance across large-scale data environments.
- Support data democratization initiatives by improving accessibility and usability for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance, establish engineering best practices, and contribute to system architecture decisions.
- Support operational activities, including customer onboarding for data products and participation in on-call responsibilities.
- Collaborate with analytics, business intelligence, delivery, and enterprise teams to resolve technical challenges and support data-driven initiatives.
- Build and maintain solutions supporting reporting platforms, visualization tools, and enterprise data consumption needs.
- 6–8+ years of experience working with data warehouses, data lakes, and large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Proven experience designing and optimizing data pipelines using Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Strong expertise with Apache Airflow, including workflow creation, scheduling, monitoring, and optimization.
- Experience developing transformation workflows using tools such as dbt.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience handling complex queries, performance optimization, and relational databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, or PostgreSQL.
- Strong Python programming skills for building and maintaining data pipelines, services, and automation solutions.
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins for automated testing and deployment.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services such as ECS, S3, and RDS.
- Familiarity with technologies including Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and Kafka is highly valuable.
- Experience building data solutions for enterprise customers and large-scale applications.
- Knowledge of healthcare datasets, including claims or clinical data, with an understanding of data quality and compliance requirements.
- Experience creating data quality frameworks and supporting reporting or analytics tools such as Tableau or ThoughtSpot.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to design scalable solutions that support diverse business and customer needs.
- Competitive annual salary range of $145,000–$175,000 depending on experience, skills, location, and qualifications.
