You will assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs. As a Commis Cook, you’re not just preparing great tasting food items – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
As a Cook (Pastry), you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards;
• Follow proper payroll & uniform procedures.
• Able to perform requested Hilton standards at the action stations when facing guest and providing with hospitality, Service Culture and Smile
• Set up and complete the mise en place for breakfast/lunch/dinner according to schedule & roster
• Ensure that sanitation standards as set forth by Hilton and local regulations are in compliance as well as the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. HACCP
• Operate all equipment safely and properly in the kitchen and also ensuring they are kept clean after use
• Read all orders including BEO, takeaway specials, IRD amenities, and others.
• Prepare and present on a timely basis all foods for breakfast/lunch/dinner service to established standard.
• Respect and accommodate server’s requests regarding guest’s personally, preference and request.
• Handle food and rotate it accordingly to established procedures.
• Make requisition, obtaining proper signature, submit, pick up of all items needed for the day and the next day with assistance of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef on duty
• Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations in order to maintain standard of quality.
• Clean all work areas at the end of the shift including own fridge, freezer, gasket, knifes and cutting board.
• Ensure a neat, clean, sanitized and organized work area
• Maintain a positive attitude toward changes and high level of professionalism at work.
• Handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor.
• Maintain a good working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement as needed.
• Maintain a full line of communication with supervisors.
• Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• Perform other tasks or projects assigned by hotel management and staff.
• Able to interact and swift from Pastry to Bakery if the operational needs require.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to support day-to-day kitchen operations and workplace communication.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
- Basic knowledge of preparing Local, Asian, Western, and international desserts.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
