Reporting to the Sr. Director of Strategic Sourcing in Building Automation, this position is responsible for the development and execution sourcing strategy for global NPI (New Product Introduction) to shape Honey Well Technology’s future. The candidate will utilize total cost of ownership models to manage suppliers and leverage Honeywell’s spend across SBG’s. In addition, this role will partner with Engineering, Project PM’s, SBG stakeholders to drive best in class performance to ensure supply chain resiliency through category transformation and work to increase contribution to Productivity, Cash flow, Supplier Performance. This position will manage global CapEx for SAS as well.
- Develop category strategies leveraging best-in-class suppliers, processes, and products to enable a competitive advantage.
- Partner with COE, Regional Sourcing and stakeholders to ensure alignment, support and execution.
- Lead the NPI procurement of SAS through phase gates; partner with NPI teams to deliver projects on time and on/under budget.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with suppliers; lead supplier business reviews using KPI’s viz. (Quality, Cost, Delivery, NPI, Innovation etc.)
- Execute the annual operating plan through year-over-year improvements in productivity, working capital, quality, delivery and supply resiliency.
- Drive supplier rationalization to preferred PSL / best-in-class suppliers; Consolidate fragmented global spend, reduce the use of non-strategic suppliers.
- Negotiate and execute contract negotiations ensuring favorable terms (Pricing, Quality, SLA, Rebates, Price Reductions, Warranties, etc.). Ensure compliance and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Conduct spend analysis, market research and identify sourcing opportunities.
- Lead the AOP, budgeting and monthly allocation of CapEx for SAS. Partner with Asett team to ensure all tools are tracked for life and usage.
- Lead the SAS team for IOS reduction and obsolescence management. Partner with engineering team to ensure assurance of supply.
- Develop and publish key market intelligence including commodities, industry trends, benchmarks, etc.
- Partner with VE team to develop strong technical solutions including new technology, VA/VE, CE product and cost improvements with supply base.
- Develop a resilient supply chain, identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with SSE team and utilize TCO analysis to develop cost and productivity opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal factories, SIOP team to support build plans and drive OTTR improvement.
- 6+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or Finance
- 4+ years of work experience in Strategic Sourcing or Procurement Transformation.
- Ability to independently lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with large stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in sourcing electronic components.
- Project Management Experience
- CPIM/CSCP certification; Six Sigma / PMP preferred.
- Experience working in a matrix organization.
- Proven negotiation and communication skills.
- Well-developed problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with SAP, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management & MS Office Tools.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic global environment.
