Training Assistant - Southaven, Mississippi
This position will work 100% on-site in Southaven, Mississippi
Assists with didactic and practical education programs for multiple student groups. Assist with the development and implementation of lectures using research and best practice information. The DLMP Education Assistant is responsible for identifying and planning of laboratory educational needs in collaboration with laboratory leadership. Assists in the development of educational programs for new trainees and the retention of trained staff. Maintains laboratory staff competencies and compliance. Helps troubleshoot errors, completes documentation, and monitors educational needs of staff.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship/we will not sponsor or transfer a visa for this role. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F1 STEM OPT extension program.
This position is a limited-tenure role intended to support the formation, launch, and stabilization of a new company and laboratory. As the organization matures, the role is expected to transition to a permanent infrastructure position within a separate company operating independently from Mayo Clinic Laboratories.
Responsibilities and schedules may vary as operational milestones are achieved with the anticipated post-launch schedules:
First Shift: 2:00 AM – 10:30 AM
Second Shift: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Third shift: 7:00pm- 2:30am
Tuesday–Saturday
- HS Diploma or GED and 2 years relevant experience
- OR Associates’ degree.
- Effective oral, written, listening and coaching skills coupled with didactic and "hands on" teaching skills are essential.
- Good human relation skills are necessary.
