Accountabilities:

    As a Retirement Plan Consultant, you will oversee compliance activities for qualified retirement plans while providing expert guidance to clients and internal stakeholders. You will ensure accurate reporting, regulatory adherence, and effective plan administration through detailed analysis and collaboration.

    • Prepare, review, and submit annual Form 5500 filings and related schedules while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct annual nondiscrimination testing, including ADP/ACP, top-heavy, coverage, and other required compliance tests.
    • Interpret and apply ERISA, IRS, and Department of Labor regulations to support retirement plan administration decisions.
    • Collaborate with plan sponsors, auditors, consultants, and internal teams to identify and resolve compliance issues.
    • Provide consultation on retirement plan design considerations and compliance strategies.
    • Maintain detailed records of filings, testing results, and compliance documentation.
    • Monitor regulatory updates and communicate relevant changes, impacts, and recommendations to stakeholders.
    • Support operational excellence by ensuring accurate processes, timely deliverables, and high-quality client service.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate brings strong retirement plan compliance expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex regulatory requirements while providing excellent client support. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

      • 3–7 years of experience in ERISA compliance, nondiscrimination testing, and Form 5500 preparation.
      • Hands-on experience with FT William software, including compliance and Form 5500 modules.
      • Experience using PensionPro or other retirement plan administration platforms.
      • Strong understanding of IRS and DOL regulations related to qualified retirement plans.
      • Strong analytical skills with advanced attention to detail and accuracy.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service mindset.
      • Ability to organize multiple priorities and manage deadlines effectively.
      • ASPPA or CEBS certifications such as QKA, QPA, or CPC are strongly preferred.
      • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
