As a Procurement Buyer II here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in managing and executing procurement activities to support our business operations efficiently and cost-effectively. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services while ensuring compliance with company policies and supplier standards.

You will report directly to our Procurement Manager and you’ll work out of our Tianjin, China location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the supply chain reliability and cost management, contributing to Honeywell's operational excellence and competitive advantage in the market.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Purchasing order & delivery management
  • Generate formal POs based on MRP, production plan & material requisitions; confirm specs, quantity, lead time & delivery window with suppliers.
  • Track production schedule, shipment and inbound goods daily, proactively identify delivery delay risks and arrange rush orders, schedule adjustment or alternate supply to prevent line down.
  • Coordinate receiving, IQC inspection and warehousing, handle shortages, wrong shipments, damaged goods and other delivery exceptions.
  1. Supplier performance management
  • Conduct regular supplier KPI assessment covering on-time delivery rate (supplier OTTR & supplier OTFP)
  • Manage supplier to maintain PO acknowledge date
  • Conduct suppliers to perform on-site consignment/near-site stock agreement, manage VMI inventory health
  1. Quality dispute & financial administration
  • Cooperate with SDE/SQE to resolve incoming non-conformity, rework and customer complaint issues.
  • Complete three-way matching (PO, delivery note & invoice), coordinate monthly reconciliation and payment application with finance AP team.
  1. Inventory & cross-functional coordination
  • Monitor material inventory turnover, slow-moving & excess stock; propose consumption or return plans to cut capital occupation.
  • Maintain procurement data accurately in SAP and submit regular procurement reports including delivery status, supplier performance, etc.

     

 

 

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools relevant to the role.
  • Experience working with suppliers in a manufacturing or building automation environment is preferred.
