Job Summary
Howmet Fastening Systems is looking for an Operations Business Analyst to join our Industrial Distribution Group in Waco, TX. This role will be critical in the development and implementation of systems to support establishing, maintaining and improving our business process from receipts of goods to end customers. This includes maintaining an accurate inventory, supporting warehouse activities, assessing and addressing inventory risk, performing cycle counts and spearheading process improvements. Manage work-in-process and finished goods inventories to ensure on-time deliveries while supporting the target service level. Develop and maintain SOPs to efficiently promote product flows and accuracy to end users.
Responsibilities:
Establish, measure, and analyze key performance indicators (KPI) for the Industrial Distribution Group, and take corrective actions accordingly
Promote and deploy lean techniques and thinking, driving continuous improvement and lead efficiency improvements locally utilizing business systems and tools.
Acts as the business process owner for demand management, order management and distribution systems.
Checks stock and future production for customers and distributors
Answers general inquiries concerning open orders, from work in process to logistics
Collaborate with the supply planning team on a regular basis.
Collaborate with various internal and external customers to develop presentations including weekly demand reviews, monthly SIOP reviews, Annual Business Plan, etc.
Uses knowledge of product, availability and customer need to best fill the order, coordinates with appropriate internal resources to answer more advanced questions
Ensure Trade Compliance regulations are met; have a working knowledge of international shipping and receiving
Works to improve knowledge of product and processes on a continual basis
Work in concert with Master Planner to ensure demand, lead times and accuracy of orders placed meet Customer demand
Ensures that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards
Maintain and continuously improve systematic inventory level setting processes that result in predictable and appropriate levels of inventory.
Establish daily/weekly/monthly reporting process to measure planning performance and report those on a timely basis to the appropriate audience.
Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the company Code of Conduct
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain\distribution, operations management, marketing, business management, or similar discipline
3+ years' experience in supply chain or similar roles
- Has a thorough understanding of warehouse principles; shipping, receiving, inventory processes (cycle counting), WMS, QMS and TMS programs
Strong foundation of data analysis in a distribution or customer service setting; advanced Excel, SQL, Python, etc
Demonstrated business acumen
Must be able to work effectively with various functions as well as work independently
Independent problem solving skills

Preferred:
Six Sigma or Lean certification is a plus.
Data Analysis certificates or Portfolio
Basic programming skills (SQL, Python, R, etc)
