SUMMARY

Represent the quality function of technical support, in conjunction with other internal support groups, regarding issues affecting manufacturing on global customer accounts.

Leverage strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills to drive quality performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with quality management systems, including IATF 16949 requirements, while supporting electronic printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing processes through the application of statistical analysis, problem-solving methodologies, process control, and data-driven decision making.

TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain QA plans and ensure timely execution of global new product introductions utilizing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Process Optimization methodologies.
• Provide support for quoting activities through participation in process design, development, and implementation phases.
• Evaluate and improve inspection processes using appropriate inspection aids and instruction guidelines.
• Support global customer training programs through the development and implementation of specialized training sessions.
• Develop and maintain document control systems for storage, access, and review of quality records.
• Conduct periodic reviews and maintenance of quality documentation.
• Participate in supplier audits and vendor survey activities, supporting supplier quality improvement initiatives.
• Interface with all departments regarding quality policies, procedures, and customer requirements.
• Drive process improvement and optimization initiatives utilizing proactive quality methodologies.
• Assist in standardizing manufacturing processes across global customer accounts.
• Provide technical support and leadership on quality-related issues with customers and suppliers.
• Analyze quality and manufacturing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Apply statistical tools and methods to support process capability analysis, variation reduction, and quality performance improvement.
• Lead root cause investigations utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and corrective action systems.
• Ensure implementation and maintenance of Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems and other quality monitoring tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements to ensure product compliance.
• Support and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements, customer-specific requirements, and applicable industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance related to electronic manufacturing and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) processes, including SMT, Through-Hole, inspection, and testing operations.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position.
• Comply with all procedures within the company security policy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
• Minimum seven (7) years of related Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience in electronic manufacturing processes, preferably PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) environments.
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and quality improvement methodologies.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) implementation and monitoring.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities.
• Strong customer focus and ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global environments.
