This role contributes to the development and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve cost, quality, and cycle time, while supporting supplier performance and compliance. You will partner with engineering, sourcing, and supplier teams to ensure product designs meet manufacturability and sustainability requirements. The role includes participating in root cause analysis, supporting corrective actions, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across global manufacturing sites. The position requires a working knowledge of lean manufacturing, risk identification, and data-driven decision making. You will help implement automation, monitoring, and AI-enabled solutions to improve operational visibility and efficiency, while supporting new product introduction and the ongoing evolution of manufacturing capabilities. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.ResponsibilitiesYou will support development and standardization of manufacturing processes, tools, and best practices across suppliers and factory sites, driving yield improvement and production efficiency. You will assist with driving cost and cycle time reduction through process and operational improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will contribute to the design and implementation of AI/ML, IoT, and data-driven models to detect anomalies, predict equipment failures, and reduce operational risk across manufacturing operations. You will assist in supplier validation, performance tracking, and capacity assessment, while supporting engineering change execution and contributing to supplier performance insights (e.g., QBR). You will support development of production processes, line capability, and factory readiness, including identifying risks such as schedule delays, capacity constraints, and technical gaps, and contributing to mitigation plans. You will assist in implementing automation, SPC, digital monitoring, and defect detection systems, and support root cause analysis, structured problem solving, and quality improvement initiatives. QualificationsRequired Qualifications: Master's Degree in Manufacturing, Material, Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, or Industrial Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in a manufacturing environment /repair.OR Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Material, Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, or Industrial Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years experience...
