Job Responsibilities
Test Framework Design & Development
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable test frameworks spanning API, UI, and system integration layers.
- Define and evolve test architecture standards to ensure frameworks remain modular, reusable, and maintainable as the product grows.
- Establish test strategy and coverage plans across functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing layers.
- Continuously evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve testing efficiency and reliability.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) to enable continuous, reliable delivery.
- Partner closely with DevOps teams to embed quality gates, automated smoke/regression checks, and rollback triggers within deployment pipelines.
- Monitor pipeline test execution, triage failures quickly, and drive root-cause resolution to minimize build breakage and deployment delays.
- Optimize pipeline test execution time through parallelization, test selection strategies, and flaky-test remediation.
- Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to provision, configure, and tear down test environments on demand.
- Maintain configuration management practices that ensure consistent, reproducible test environments across development, staging, and pre-production.
- Automate environment provisioning workflows to reduce manual setup time and environment-related test failures.
- Design and execute test coverage for relational data using SQL Server, including schema validation, stored procedure testing, and data integrity checks.
- Validate NoSQL data stores such as MongoDB or Cosmos DB, covering document structure, indexing behavior, and query performance.
- Test data pipelines, migrations, and transformations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data across systems.
- Build and maintain comprehensive API automation suites using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or SoapUI, covering functional, contract, and negative test scenarios.
- Develop and maintain UI automation using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, ensuring robust cross-browser and cross-device coverage.
- Ensure API and UI test suites are integrated into the broader regression and release-readiness process.
- Test applications and services deployed on modern cloud platforms, particularly AWS (or equivalent), validating functionality, scalability, and resilience.
- Assess performance and reliability of cloud-hosted services under varying load conditions, including large-scale distributed systems.
- Apply AI-enhanced development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Replit AI, ChatGPT, Amazon CodeWhisperer, or equivalents) to discover bugs faster, automate repetitive testing tasks, and accelerate testing cycles.
- Apply AI/ML concepts, even at a foundational level, to optimize test workflows and strategies, perform intelligent test-data analysis, and support data-driven testing decisions.
- Use prompt engineering and LLM-assisted testing techniques to automate test documentation, code scans, monitoring, and anomaly detection.
- Lead QA activities across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely, high-quality, and predictable deliveries.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, developers, and fellow QA engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and consistently high product quality.
- Communicate testing approaches, risks, and quality metrics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide other QA engineers, sharing best practices in automation, tooling, and AI-assisted testing.
