About CookUnity:

Food has lost its soul to modern convenience. And with it, it has lost the power to nourish, inspire, and connect us. So in 2018, CookUnity was founded as the first-of-its-kind platform that connects the world with the source of truly great food: chefs. Today, CookUnity delivers 50 million meals a year from the industry’s best chefs to homes all over the country. Fresh. Ready-to-eat. And crafted with the passion that nourishes body and soul.

Unwilling to stop there, CookUnity is expanding beyond delivery to become an ever-innovating marketplace focused on our singular mission: empower Chefs to nourish the world.

If that mission has you hungry in more ways than one, you’ve found the right job posting.

The Role

As the Senior Growth Designer, Acquisition & Offers, you'll own the end-to-end user journey—from landing pages through sign-up to conversion—for CookUnity's Growth Marketing team. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where your design decisions directly influence acquisition performance, user engagement, and scalable growth.

The Growth Marketing Team does more than expand audiences and improve conversion rates. CookUnity has an extraordinary chef-driven story to tell and a product that sells itself—our mission is to usher in a new era of the chef-centric marketplace. You'll be at the center of that effort, owning the Acquisition and Offers experience end-to-end: from traffic to the site, through checkout, to how promotions are discovered and redeemed across the funnel.

You'll partner closely with Growth, Product, Engineering, Data, and Branding team to build high-converting, data-informed experiences—balancing friction and ease, running experiments, and constantly raising the bar on what a first impression means for our users.

Responsibilities

  • Own the First Impressions experience: Lead strategy and execution across acquisition touchpoints—landing pages, sign-up flows, and checkout—tracking performance and iterating based on data and hypotheses.
  • Design for conversion: Create and optimize user journeys using A/B testing and multivariate testing to improve conversion rates on both mobile and desktop.
  • Analyze friction and ease: Continuously evaluate where to reduce or introduce friction in the user flow to maximize intent-to-action rates.
  • Drive the promotions experience: Set the short- and long-term vision for how promotions are surfaced, communicated, and redeemed across the customer journey.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Data, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Branding team—from writing project briefs to advocating for resources and aligning on testing plans.
  • Leverage data and user insights: Use quantitative and qualitative tools to understand user behavior, uncover opportunities, and inform design decisions that reduce churn and increase lifetime value.
  • Leverage AI to scale design: Use AI-assisted workflows—from rapid prototyping to generating and testing creative variants—to move faster and experiment at scale.
  • Stay current: Keep pace with UX/UI, CRO, and performance marketing trends to ensure our experiences remain competitive and forward-looking.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on growth, acquisition, or conversion optimization.
  • Proven track record designing high-conversion user journeys, preferably for subscription or e-commerce businesses.
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing, user testing, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, SiteSpect).
  • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma) and AI-assisted workflows (e.g., generative prototyping, Claude, v0).
  • Deep understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and user research methodologies.
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams across growth marketing, product, and engineering.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with experience influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with front-end development practices (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) is a plus.

A quick note for all candidates
We’ve recently seen an increase in recruitment scams across the industry, and we want to make sure you (and your data) stay safe while applying to CookUnity. We also want you to know that we take this seriously — sometimes, as part of our process, we may ask for a brief “proof of humanity” to confirm that we’re connecting with a real person, not an impersonator. Here are a few tips to help you protect yourself and know what to expect from us:

  • Apply only through our official channels. All open roles are listed on our official careers page: careers.cookunity.com
  • Our recruiters are real people — and easy to verify. You can always find them on LinkedIn with verified profiles. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out to us on our official LinkedIn Company Page.
  • We only communicate through official CookUnity channels. That means emails ending in @cookunity.com and interviews held through official company platforms (Google Meet or Zoom) — never WhatsApp, Telegram, or SMS.
  • We’ll never ask for payment or personal financial details. If anyone does, please don’t share any information and let us know right away.

If something ever feels off or you’re unsure about a message, we’d much rather you double-check with us. You can always contact us directly through any of our social media channels. We appreciate your interest in joining CookUnity — and we care about keeping your experience (and safety) as genuine as possible.
