Maintenance Mechanic IThe BRP Marine Propulsion Systems facility in Spruce Pine, North Carolina is a full-service lost foam plant which uses innovative processes to create aluminum castings from polystyrene bead. Want to bring your true self on this adventure?YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:Work closely with operations and engineering teams to address equipment-related action items through repair and maintenanceWork with production in prioritizing breakdownsMonitor and maintain 5-SMaintain accurate documentationEstablish and maintain communication with other team members and support departmentsBe proactive with potential problems before they turn into breakdownsUse time effectively to complete as much work as possible within the shiftLog in work orders into Guide system on a daily basisEfficiently perform lock-out/tag-out procedurePromote and model safe behavior throughout the facilityPromote and model BRP valuesYOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:Required:High school diploma or equivalentThree years maintenance or related experience, or combination of education and experienceMechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical & electronic troubleshooting skillsAbility to safely work with all equipmentDatabase entry competencyGood communication skillsThe ability to work independently and with little guidanceExceptional troubleshooting skillsWillingness to work a flexible scheduleGood attendance recordPreferred:Hands-on experience with manufacturing/industrial facility equipment preferredKnowledge of PLC logic/controllers and frequency drives preferred WELCOME TO BRPWe’re a world leader in recreational vehicles and boats, creating innovative ways to move on snow, water, asphalt, dirt and even in the air.
