This leader will manage execution across multiple services or application areas, provide technical direction, and ensure teams deliver reliable, maintainable, and secure systems aligned to customer and mission needs. Our engineers design, build, and operate systems that must meet high standards for reliability, security, compliance, and operational readiness. Key Responsibilities Lead multiple teams or a small group owning a significant application surface area with measurable reliability, security, and performance outcomes. Manage execution of software development lifecycle processes, including design, implementation, testing, code review, observability, and production readiness. Lead teams through debugging and troubleshooting across multiple components, services, APIs, and functional areas. Guide teams in application architecture, service design, API lifecycle management, interoperability, scalability, and performance optimization. Collaborate with product, program, security, operations, customers, and partner teams to align application solutions with business and mission priorities. Establish and enforce secure development practices, coding standards, operational objectives, and engineering best practices. Lead maintenance, patching, SOP evolution, automation, monitoring, and reliability improvements for supported systems. Drive team performance, coaching, hiring, promotion readiness, and career development across engineering teams. Minimum Qualifications U.S. Citizenship with active US Government security clearance, TS/SCI with Poly, at hire. 9 years of software development experience; or bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and 5 years of software development experience; or master's degree in a relevant technical field and 3 years of software development experience; or doctorate in a relevant technical field and 1 year of software development experience. 6 years of experience with programming and/or scripting languages. 4 years of experience with databases. Experience leading engineering teams through design, delivery, operations, and support of secure production software. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional execution, resolve complex technical issues, and improve engineering processes.
