We are looking for a dedicated engineer to ensure the reliability and stability of these critical workflows.

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the core team responsible for building and scaling our next-generation internal CI/CD platform. In this role, you will act as a link between current operational needs and the future platform. You will apply deep knowledge from production workflows to invent, build, and automate high-performance deployment engines. You will explore containerized workflows, resolve complex production problems, develop secure and scalable infrastructure, and make sure users enjoy a smooth deployment experience.

What you'll Do:

  • Engineer the Next-Gen Platform: Actively contribute to building and developing the organization's next-generation CI/CD ecosystem. Use insights from the current platform to develop outstanding, self-healing deployment paths and scalable infrastructure for the CI/CD platform.
  • Partner with other teams across Adobe to ensure the CI/CD platform is developed to be Cloud & GitOps native and scalable. Provide internal users with procedures for using the CI/CD platform, assisting them in resolving configuration and deployment errors.
  • Perform day-to-day operational tasks such as upgrades and patching of Argo or Kubernetes platform, Cloud Infrastructure, or addressing security vulnerabilities.
  • Supervise the health of the platform and applications using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Handle tasks and projects with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
  • Operational Excellence: Identify recurring issues in the support queue and collaborate with the engineering team to propose permanent fixes or automation.
  • Incident Management: Respond to and drive the resolution of high-priority production issues to minimize downtime and impact on development velocity.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to resolve and get to the bottom of root cause as part of Incident & Problem management.
  • Deep-Dive Debugging: Investigate and root-cause failures in containerized workflows deployed at scale, specifically within Kubernetes environments, Argo configurations and cloud infrastructure.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in container orchestration and cloud-native development.

What you need to succeed:

  • B.Tech Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience.
  • Strong software development skills in Go Lang. Experience with Python/Java or similar languages preferred.
  • CI/CD Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Argo CD, Workflows, Rollouts, Events and Deployments.
  • Packaging & Configuration: Proficiency with Helm charts for managing Kubernetes applications.
  • IaC: Experienced with Terraform and cloud controller like ACK/ASO etc for managing cloud infrastructure.
  • Kubernetes Expertise: Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and Docker, resource management, and troubleshooting. You should be comfortable navigating complex clusters.
  • Public Cloud: Experienced with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms. (AWS / Azure certifications encouraged.) with good understanding of network architectures (VNET/VPC/Nat Gateway/Envoy etc.)
  • Familiarity and expertise with modern build systems such as Bazel is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the 12-factor principles and software development lifecycle.
  • You understand how to manage GIT Ops pipelines and debug workflow failures.
  • A solid understanding of time-series monitoring tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator and/or Developer/Security certifications encouraged.
  • Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to trace issues across distributed systems and containerized microservices.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with and assist internal engineering customers.
