Machine Operator — Packaging
Location: Bolingbrook, IL
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18/hour
Shift/Schedule: 2:30pm-1am, M-Thurs
About the Role
We're hiring a dependable Machine Operator to support packaging operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role operates packaging equipment, maintains quality standards, and helps ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor packaging and production equipment
- Perform equipment setups, changeovers, and minor adjustments
- Package products to required specifications, including weight and labeling
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
- Inspect packaging materials and report quality issues
- Identify and separate product requiring rework
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and minor repairs as assigned
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and sanitary
- Ensure GMPs and safety standards are followed at all times
- Support and assist packing team members
- Communicate daily production needs with supervisors
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shift
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and climbing
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs repeatedly
- Comfortable working around machinery and moving equipment
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/production setting, work near moving mechanical parts and machinery
- PPE required (safety glasses, gloves)
