DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Global Product Manager to join our growing Protein Consumables Team. This diverse portfolio of protein sample preparation reagents and consumables supports many downstream proteomic applications, including mass spectrometry analysis. The Product Manager will lead global product strategies, drive innovative solutions to customer challenges, lead day-to-day operations for top line growth and profitability, and provide market leadership in the development of innovative products. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, goal-driven business focused on making a difference for proteomics researchers.

This is an on-site position.

What will you do?

  • Drive product development of proteomics reagent portfolio that successfully merges voice-of-customer with innovation and technology
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to bring new products to the market, including product development, manufacture, positioning, and go-to-market strategies
  • Develop business cases to support strategy, including financial analysis
  • Identify, analyze, and articulate market trends, competition, and customer needs to successfully drive development and delivery of products and services
  • Identify, establish, and manage strategic partnerships, including global relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry opinion leaders
  • Create, coordinate, and deliver impactful training for internal and external customers
  • Communicate both technical and business content to multiple audiences, including scientists, executives, and non-scientific colleagues
  • Work effectively across the business matrix to build relationships to drive business strategy and growth
  • Manage life cycle of product portfolio, including annual financial objectives, forecast, product rationalization, pipeline, and marketing strategies

Experience

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an analytical or life science (analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related discipline) or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in industry, with sales and/or marketing experience preferred
  • Background in protein biology required and working knowledge of mass spectrometry preferred

  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and strong deductive reasoning
  • Strong technical writing and communications skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix business environment and partner seamlessly within the organization
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong customer focus with a demonstrated track record of successful customer interactions
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, both domestically and internationally

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $103,100.00–$120,000.00.
