Human Resource Specialist (Executive Resources)

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Human Capital (OHC), Division of Performance and Organizational Programs (DPOP). As a Human Resources Specialist, GS-0201-13, you will perform complex and significant program and operation work related to the Senior Executive Services (SES), Senior Level (SL) positions, Schedule C and non-career SES political appointment positions, and related activities. Serves as an advisor to managers on all issues related to Executive Resources and provides expert management advisory and consultative services to senior officials CMS-wide. Develops position descriptions and classifies positions, conducts recruitment, including merit staffing, and evaluates applicants' qualifications. Provides staff guidance and advice to programs and offices regarding recruitment and placement, position classification, and performance management requirements of executive personnel. Monitors the entire recruitment process including panel operations to assure quality staffing of Senior Executive Service (SES) positions.
