The Vabret Laboratory is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows to lead projects investigating how transposable elements regulate immune responses in aging and inflammatory diseases. The work will combine mouse models, flow cytometry, cellular and molecular immunology, and analysis of human samples.

The Vabret Laboratory studies the interactions between transposable elements and the immune system. The proposed research will examine how transposable-element activity influences inflammation, immune-cell function, and tissue remodeling, with a particular interest in aging, cancer and fibrosis.

Goals/Outcomes of the Research Project:
The project aims to identify the cellular and molecular mechanisms through which transposable elements contribute to chronic inflammation and disease. The postdoctoral fellow will receive advanced training in immunology, animal models, aging biology, and translational research and will contribute to the development of potential therapeutic strategies.

·  Perform independent research in immunology, inflammation, and transposable-element biology.

·  Conduct mouse experiments, tissue processing, and immune-cell isolation.

·  Perform cellular and molecular genomic and immunology assays.

·  Process and analyze mouse and human biological samples.
