Key Responsibilities
The Material Planner is responsible for supporting daily warehouse, inventory, and logistics operations to ensure the efficient flow of materials while maintaining a safe, organized, and accurate inventory environment. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Receive, unload, inspect, verify, label, sort, store, and transact incoming materials using Oracle inventory systems.
- Process Asset Reclaim returns (laptops and related equipment) from current and departing employees, ensuring assets are accurately received, inspected, documented, and routed according to established procedures.
- Clean, inspect, configure, and kit laptops and related IT equipment for redeployment, ensuring devices meet established quality standards and are complete with the appropriate accessories prior to distribution.
- Verify that all incoming shipments match purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation, and promptly identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Transport materials and inventory between warehouse locations, laboratories, offices, and approved off-site facilities using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Perform inventory put-away, replenishment, consolidation, and stock rotation activities to optimize warehouse organization and picking efficiency.
- Pick, stage, assemble, and kit hardware, laptops, peripherals, and other materials for internal customers, new hire deployments, technology refreshes, and outbound shipments while meeting established service level agreements.
- Support promotional item fulfillment, hardware distribution, and special project requests as assigned.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, audits, reconciliations, and routine inventory control activities.
- Perform Oracle system transactions accurately and in a timely manner for receiving, transfers, adjustments, order fulfillment, inventory movements, and returns.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order/cherry pickers, in accordance with company safety policies and certification requirements.
- Drive company vehicles, including cargo vans and box trucks, to transport materials between Oracle facilities and approved off-site locations when required.
- Ensure all inventory is properly identified, labeled, secured, and stored in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain warehouse, laboratory, and storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition while adhering to all company safety policies and environmental guidelines.
- Demonstrate safe work practices and actively promote a culture of safety by identifying hazards and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Support receiving, shipping, reverse logistics, laptop cleaning, asset refurbishment, and kitting operations to meet operational and customer service requirements.
- Review existing work instructions and standard operating procedures and recommend updates to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with business requirements.
- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement, increased productivity, and cost savings by collaborating with team members and management.
- Troubleshoot routine operational and inventory issues independently and escalate more complex issues when appropriate.
- Assist with cross-functional projects and perform other warehouse, inventory, and logistics duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in a high-volume warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or inventory environment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or Oracle inventory applications is preferred.
- Experience handling, cleaning, configuring, or deploying laptops and other IT hardware assets is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Forklift and material handling equipment experience or the ability to become certified upon hire.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes, carrier requirements, and shipping documentation is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in inventory transactions and documentation.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive, customer-focused attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Work Requirements
This position is based at Oracle’s Redwood Shores, California campus and requires an on-site presence five days per week. Remote or telework arrangements are not available for this role.
The successful candidate must be able to:
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and move throughout warehouse and office environments for extended periods.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance or appropriate material handling equipment.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, order/cherry pickers, and other warehouse equipment after receiving required training and certification.
- Safely operate company vehicles, including cargo vans and box trucks, with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Use computers, handheld scanners, mobile devices, barcode equipment, and standard office equipment to perform daily inventory and warehouse transactions.
- Handle computers, servers, peripherals, and other electronic equipment using proper electrostatic discharge (ESD) handling procedures when applicable.
- Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while consistently meeting productivity, quality, and safety expectations.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $20.58 to $40.24 per hour; from: $42,800 to $83,700 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
