Job Description:

The A400M is a versatile European tactical airlifter that bridges the gap between traditional transport aircraft and strategic airlift capabilities. It stands as a symbol of industrial excellence and collaborative defense capability.

Be part of this journey and join our team to shape the future of A400M training and development! We develop advanced simulation software for the A400M programme, ranging from high-fidelity Full Flight Simulators (FFS) for pilot training to advanced test facilities for avionics integration and certification. Within the FFS scope, we are currently working on the Block Upgrade 0 to integrate new aircraft functionalities into the training systems. In parallel, we support the A400M Military Test and Support Facility (MTSF) by providing simulation models that enable the verification and certification of avionics at software, equipment, and system levels. Our work ensures that aircraft updates are accurately represented in both training and test environments, utilizing a tech stack centered on C/C++.

As a Software Engineer in our team, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of simulation solutions. Your role involves translating high-level operational and system requirements from various stakeholders into robust simulation models. You will design and define simulation interfaces, develop and test complex models, and drive the successful release and deployment of our models, ensuring high-quality delivery and support during customer acceptance.

Your location:

Located about an hour’s drive north of Munich, Manching is an up-and-coming market town that offers a wide range of leisure and cultural activities. Here, you can enjoy the quality of life in the countryside while the pleasures of near-by cities are still within easy reach.

  • Developing simulation models based on avionics software to accurately represent aircraft equipment and systems.

  • Implementing robust software components, primarily using C++, and integrating both in-house and third-party modules.

  • Designing and defining simulation interfaces in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintaining and modernizing the software architecture of our existing simulation products.

  • Ensuring high software quality through the implementation of unit tests and performing comprehensive integration testing.

  • Driving development excellence by creating tools for automation, code generation, and optimized build pipelines.

  • Supporting the entire deployment cycle, from initial model development to successful integration and customer acceptance.

As you will work in an international environment, occasional travels will be necessary.
