Sr Government Affairs Analyst EMENAFull-time Compensation: EUR 52710 - EUR 84336 - yearlyJob DescriptionAs a Senior Government Affairs Analyst, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the business, specializing in EU legislation regarding food, packaging and consumer products. You will bridge the gap between policy and commercial strategy, executing advocacy initiatives while helping the business navigate regulatory risks and opportunities through a strategic lens.This role is based out of our European HQ in Oegstgeest, the Netherlands,Reports to: Government Affairs Director EMENAKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute high-impact advocacy strategies and drive the business’s positioning on key files.Act as a liaison to internal business functions (including Legal, Compliance, Product, Strategy), monitoring legislation and analyse legislative trends to proactively mitigate risks and identify growth opportunities.Draft position papers, consultation responses, and factsheets to support advocacy and internal implementation efforts.Serve as the company’s voice within trade associations, advancing Avery Dennison’s priorities and strategies within the framework of those organizations.QualificationsRequiredKnowledge and demonstrable experience with designing and executing advocacy initiatives on EU legislation relating to packaging circularity, food waste and Digital Product Passport legislation and standards.Deep understanding of the EU decision-making process and a proven track record of engagement and influence in Brussels, ideally on the topic of food waste and packaging circularity.5-6 years’ experience in government affairs or public affairs roles, ideally within a corporate, with direct responsibility over advocacy campaigns and direct exposure to outreach and engagement activities.Skills you need to succeedExperience serving as a strategic liaison to the business, analysing the impact of legislative trends and partnering with product, compliance, strategy teams to proactively mitigate regulatory risks and identify growth opportunities.Excellent external communication and public speaking skills and the ability to engage policymakers, industry peers and other key stakeholders to build relationships and represent Avery Dennison’s values and policy priorities; Work experience in either the European Parliament and / or the European Commission.Additional InformationWhat we offerHere's a glimpse of the great benefits you can expect:Health & Financial Benefits:We offer a gross benefit for the supplemental package of mandatory health insurance.Access to Lyra, our confidential Employee Assistance Program, for personal and professional support.We provide a free health check every 4 years, and free fruit on-site.Mandatory participation to the Avery Dennison Pension Fund, employer pays ⅔ of the premium.
