Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist at SJHMC, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.
Every day you’ll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilize good radiation safety practices and you will make a positive impact on internal and external customers.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.
- Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the imaging order
- Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
Job Requirements
Required
- Completion of approved JRCERT Radiologic Technologist Program and Two (2)-years of current RadiologyTechnologist and hands-on scrub including interventional experience
- American Heart Association
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), within 90 Days
Preferred
- Bachelors Other BS/BA and Experience in a specialty area or highacute facility
- Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, or
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, or
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
