Accountabilities:
- Own and drive the architecture, development, and long-term evolution of backend systems using Go and cloud technologies.
- Design and build production-ready services that are tested, observable, maintainable, and scalable.
- Develop data pipelines capable of ingesting, validating, deduplicating, and transforming complex vulnerability information from multiple sources.
- Lead technical decisions for major product domains, including workflow management, customer onboarding, entitlement systems, and data validation processes.
- Establish engineering best practices around code reviews, testing strategies, incident response, and system reliability.
- Partner with technical leaders to define architecture direction, roadmap priorities, and implementation strategies.
- Collaborate with other teams to define interface contracts, data quality standards, and integration requirements.
- Act as a technical multiplier by sharing knowledge, mentoring teammates, and raising engineering standards.
- 7+ years of backend software engineering experience with ownership of complex production systems.
- Strong proficiency in Go programming and experience building backend services at scale.
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure, particularly GCP and Terraform.
- Proven ability to transform business or technical problems from prototypes into reliable production solutions.
- Experience designing systems that process large volumes of complex, heterogeneous, or unstructured data.
- Strong understanding of system observability, monitoring, and production reliability practices.
- Experience designing workflows involving permissions, access controls, customer tiers, or routing logic.
- Ability to make thoughtful architectural decisions and communicate technical trade-offs clearly.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working with distributed engineering teams.
- Background in security, infrastructure, software supply chain, or related technical domains is a plus.
