Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Ramey Sector, Mission Readiness Operations, located in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above. Relocation Authorized Position: Due to the current funding hiatus, all relocations will be placed on hold at the time of selection. As soon as the hiatus ends and funding becomes available, you will be contacted by the CBP Hiring Center to coordinate an enter on duty (EOD) date and complete the necessary relocation forms. In this Supervisor Mission Support Specialist role, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security individuals involved in supervising administrative positions who provide services in direct support of operations programs. This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS-13, Step 10). GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area. As a Supervisory Mission Support Specialist, you will oversee the analyzing and resolving of problems to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of administrative support and staff activities. Typical work assignments will include: Supervising a team that coordinates and performs a wide variety of administrative and management services essential to the operations of USBP office. Performing essential services in support of office management, telecommunications, budget, finance, procurement, workforce management, training, logistics, property, space, records and files, travel and office equipment. Overseeing a team that researches, evaluates, prioritizes, and recommends solutions for critical issues related to administrative matters. Managing and supporting the monitoring of USBP initiatives at the local and Headquarters (HQ) levels as well as acting as a liaison for senior management.
