The Insights Management Technical Manager will serve in an instrumental role building and delivering on Huron’s Insights as a Service offering. Within this role, the individual will support the creation of state-of-the-art solutions that advance the analytics and AI roadmap for one or more healthcare consulting capabilities. In the role, the consultant will lead cross-disciplinary teams around engineering, data science, and generative AI applications. The role must be hands-on in designing and experimenting with new technologies, as well as possess strong project and stakeholder management skills. This position reports directly to the Insights Management Senior Director.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Design and implement state-of-the-art data processes for one or more healthcare capabilities 

  • Manage roadmap and executive report outs to consulting leadership 

  • Shape creation of new analytics-based offerings in market in partnership with consulting leadership 

  • Manage cross-disciplinary resources across data engineering, application engineering, data science, and AI-related engineering groups, building repeatable and differentiated analytics offerings 

  • Lead the build-out of diverse technical assets and proprietary methodologies that enhance the firm's consulting capabilities. 

  • Drive innovation by generating ideas for data science applications, advanced analytics, and interactive dashboards tailored to healthcare challenges. 

  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to design scalable solutions, ensuring alignment with modern architectural standards. 

  • Translate broad business requirements into specific technical roadmaps for solution development. 

  • Identify areas of opportunities, levers, and actionable strategies to address. Grow customer relationships by building confidence and trust in the data and insights we provide. 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's degree (BS, BA) required / preferred areas of study include Information Systems, Health Care Informatics, mathematics, statistics, finance, technical or health care analytics related discipline or equivalent experience 

  • 5-6+ years of relevant experience in healthcare consulting 

  • Proven analytical skills particularly with large, comprehensive data sets  

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to internal and client stakeholders, including complex, technical information, with a strong attention to detail 

  • Role is predominantly remote, with expectation of occasional travel for internal or client meetings 

  • Current permanent US work authorization required

 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience with comprehensive healthcare data sets (claims, financial performance, clinical, and other related healthcare data) 

  • Recent healthcare consulting, analytics, and/or technical experience in a team-based professional services firm environment  

 

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES 

  • 5-6+ years experience with SQL and Python 

  • Demonstrated experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. AWS or Snowflake) 

  • Demonstrated experience using AI in data and analytics workflows 

  • Knowledge of data transformation frameworks such as Data Build Tool (DBT) 

  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical engineering resources  

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects 

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction 

  • Working both autonomously, and collaboratively with others, with limited supervision and with the ability to navigate in uncertainty 

  • Demonstrated experience in data visualization tools (Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI, etc.) 

  • Strong written communication and documentation skills to create and edit internal and client deliverables that are succinct, articulate, and meet Huron’s standards of quality 

  • Exceptional organization and time management skills to manage multiple priorities at once with fast-paced turnaround times 

The estimated base salary range for this job is $145,000 - $185,000.  The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy.  Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $166,750 - $231,250. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
