KBR is looking for Senior Construction Supervisor – Civil with Onshore Site project experience in MEGA EPC projects to be based in Abu Dhabi Site for PMC project.

Job Purpose

The Senior Construction Supervisor – Civil is responsible for supervising and coordinating all civil construction activities related to oil and gas projects, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved schedules. The role oversees contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel during all phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Management

  • Supervise and coordinate all civil construction activities, including:
    • Earthworks and grading
    • Foundations and concrete structures
    • Structural steel foundations
    • Roads and paving works
    • Drainage and underground utilities
    • Buildings and infrastructure associated with oil & gas facilities
  • Ensure construction activities are performed according to approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
  • Monitor daily construction progress and prepare progress reports.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, and Project Controls teams.

Site Supervision

  • Lead and direct contractors and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Verify manpower, equipment, and materials are available to support construction schedules.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Resolve field issues and coordinate technical queries with engineering teams.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Promote a strong safety culture across the project site.
  • Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and client requirements.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Stop unsafe work practices and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Quality Assurance & Control

  • Ensure all civil works comply with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Coordinate inspections with QA/QC personnel and client representatives.
  • Review and verify work completion records and punch list items.
  • Monitor corrective actions related to quality non-conformances.

Planning & Reporting

  • Track construction progress against approved schedules.
  • Identify construction risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly progress meetings.
  • Review contractor performance and productivity.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Support project handovers, commissioning, and closeout activities.
  • Ensure all project documentation is properly maintained and updated.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional certifications related to construction management are advantageous.
  • Valid HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 10–15 years of civil construction experience.
  • At least 5–8 years in a supervisory role within Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, Offshore, or Onshore projects.
  • Proven experience in brownfield and greenfield construction projects.
  • Experience working with international clients such as ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, PDO, Shell, BP, or similar is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of international standards such as:
    • ASCE
    • ACI
    • ASTM
    • BS Standards
    • API requirements where applicable
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction procedures.
  • Familiarity with civil QA/QC requirements and inspection processes.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software.
