The Site WHS officer will be responsible for partnering with a site operations team in a Delivery Station to execute company safety policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local and regional regulations. By leveraging lean principles and kaizens, this individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our Associates. The Site WHS officer must demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis. The Site WHS officer must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. This individual must instruct and train Operations Leaders in company safety policies and assist the operations site teams in incorporating our safety standards at their site. The Site WHS officer will be required to identify best practices and incorporate these best practices into our standards to continuously improve company safety policies. The Site WHS officer will be required to possess excellent safety program and relevant safety, environmental and ergonomic knowledge and demonstrates this expertise when working with Operations.

As WHS Officer, You will support an assigned site(s), coordinate and assist in the implementation of Amazon WHS procedures and programs as directed by WHS leadership, in alignment with policy and site goals. You will partner with the site stakeholders to drive compliance with relevant Amazon WHS standards, procedures and applicable local laws. You will play vital role in coaching associates on new and existing WHS requirements, including their impact on the site. You will partner with site operations and WHS leadership on tackling day to day risks, identify and escalate compliance risks and improvement opportunities through the completion of assigned routine inspections and audits. You will act as the proxy1 for the WHS Manager when assigned.

Daily Deep Dive of metrics, Site safety audit / inspections, Incident reporting and investigation, Training, TBT, FGDs, Standup at site, AWHS committee meeting, Communication on required safety matters, Safety compliance adherence with respect to Amazon WHS Policies and procedures, PPE issuance and compliance, Risk Assessment, Inventory management and procurement of safety supplies.

Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree- Experience with increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations

- Experience developing and implementing department goals and strategies based on broader organizational goals- Government Certified Safety Professional preferred
