Senior Manager, Demand Generation
R1 is the leading provider of technology-driven solutions that transform the patient experience and financial performance of hospitals, health systems and medical groups. We are the one company that combines the deep expertise of a global workforce of revenue cycle professionals with the industry’s most advanced technology platform, encompassing sophisticated analytics, AI, intelligent automation, and workflow orchestration.
As our Senior Manager, Demand Generation, you will build and optimize scalable campaign frameworks, ABM programs, and insights-to-action workflows that support growth across R1’s portfolio. Your primary goal is to deliver high-quality leads and build pipeline. You will partner closely with Sales, Customer Experience (CX), Commercial Operations, and Product Marketing to bring integrated campaigns to life and ensure measurement and performance rigor across all channels.
Here’s what you will experience working as a Senior Manager, Demand Generation:
Demand Generation Strategy
- Own and evolve the integrated, persona-based, multi-touch demand generation strategy targeting CFOs, VPs of Revenue Cycle, CIOs, CTOs, and operational leaders across large IDNs, academic medical centers, and rural systems.
- Set the strategic direction for expansion within existing accounts, partnering with Commercial and CX leadership to align on priorities and investment.
- Architect top-of-funnel growth strategy that complements and elevates ABM and paid programs
Campaign Development & Execution
- Set the standard for full-funnel campaign planning, launch, and optimization aligned to commercial priorities, with accountability for outcomes across the portfolio.
- Design and govern repeatable frameworks ("building blocks") for content, email, segmentation, CTAs, and cadences that scale across the broader marketing organization.
- Lead cross-functional campaign activation at a senior level — setting briefs, driving stakeholder alignment (including with senior sales and regional leadership), and holding teams accountable to launch readiness.
ABM & Whitespace Activation
- Direct 1:few and 1:many ABM programs targeting R1's top accounts and whitespace opportunities, with ownership of strategy, prioritization, and resourcing.
- Serve as the senior marketing partner to regional leaders in identifying whitespace using Salesforce dashboards, Definitive, ZoomInfo intent, and website activity.
- Drive activation of regional insights into tailored campaigns, with accountability for meeting creation and pipeline outcomes.
Insights, Data & Reporting
- Own the insights-to-activation strategy end-to-end: translating ZoomInfo intent, website analytics, and Salesforce activity into actionable marketing motions and influencing broader GTM strategy.
- Build and present executive-level dashboards and reporting on campaign performance, engagement, pipeline influence, and whitespace coverage — surfacing strategic recommendations, not just metrics.
Event Activation
- Own event strategy and execution end-to-end, including attendance-driving, pre- and post-event nurture, and measurement of ROI.
- Translate event insights (Becker's, HFMA, AHA, R1 summits) into scalable campaign materials and follow-up sequences, and mentor others in applying these insights.
Required Skills:
- 10-12 years in B2B demand generation, ideally in healthcare, SaaS, AI, or enterprise complex-sales environments.
- Proven track record owning integrated campaign strategy, ABM, and pipeline generation at scale, including budget/investment accountability.
- Deep experience influencing and partnering with senior sales, regional, and GTM leadership — including comfort presenting to executive stakeholders.
- Experience managing or heavily using Salesforce, ABM platforms, ZoomInfo, Demandbase or similar platforms; experience overseeing vendor or agency relationships is a plus.
- Prior experience mentoring junior marketers, direct reports, or cross-functional project teams.
- Strong strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to shape strategy (not just execute it) and translate insights into organization-wide action.
- Exceptional program and project leadership, able to oversee multiple complex, concurrent initiatives and set priorities for others.
- Proven ability to architect launches that support regional and account-specific go-to-market motions, enabling R1's commercial teams with turnkey toolkits, plays, and 1:few campaign assets at scale.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with product, sales, and CX to translate technical capabilities into clear, customer-oriented value propositions, especially for complex AI, automation, or platform products.
- Experience building and owning launch architectures that span pre-announce, announce, and sustained post-launch phases
- Advanced skill in creating launch dashboards and reporting frameworks to track adoption, engagement, opportunity creation, and ROI, with a track record of using data to make and defend strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
