What you'll do

The Docusign Renewal Manager is a high-impact individual contributor responsible for owning and executing a portfolio of renewal contracts within an assigned territory. This role plays a critical part in reducing financial attrition, securing favorable commercial outcomes, identifying growth opportunities, and strengthening long-term customer partnerships. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a strong understanding of SaaS renewals and subscription contracting. They are skilled at navigating customer conversations, managing competing priorities, and resolving a wide range of issues through sound judgment and cross-functional collaboration. Renewal Managers help maximize financial outcomes for Docusign while ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the renewal lifecycle.

 

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Account Management International.

 

Responsibility

  • Own and execute a high volume of renewal opportunities within an assigned territory

  • Develop and implement win-win negotiation strategies that preserve and grow contract value while maintaining customer trust

  • Partner with the broader account team to identify expansion opportunities at the time of renewal

  • Maintain an accurate rolling forecast for assigned renewals and proactively communicate risk to relevant internal stakeholders

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Executives, Customer Success, Pricing, Legal, Revenue Operations, and Product Management to develop effective renewal strategies

  • Analyze customer data, account history, and usage trends to evaluate renewal health and identify potential risk or opportunity

  • Manage issues of diverse scope, using data and sound judgment to determine appropriate actions and next steps

  • Prioritize effectively across a portfolio of renewals to drive the best commercial and customer outcomes

  • Follow best practices across all internal processes, including opportunity management, quote accuracy, CRM hygiene, forecasting, and data quality

  • Achieve financial and strategic targets related to revenue, bookings, and billings

  • Provide insights to the business that help improve renewal strategies, processes, and future outcomes

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring

Basic

  • 3+ years of experience in Renewal Management, Account Management, Customer Success, or a related customer-facing commercial role

  • Experience managing contracts and driving renewals to completion on time

  • Experience leading persuasive value-based conversations with customer stakeholders, including executive-level contacts

  • Experience managing the end-to-end renewal cycle and coordinating internal resources as needed

  • Experience in a quota-carrying sales or commercial role with a track record of success

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

 

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Strong process management skills and financial acumen

  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

  • Strong sense of urgency, organization, and prioritization

  • Experience working in a SaaS or subscription-based business model

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
