A Software Engineer Intern should have basic knowledge of object-oriented programming and be familiar with some back-end technologies such as Java or Python. Role Responsibilities
Create and maintain clear and comprehensive technical and functional documentation for users, operators, and fellow developers.
Assist in designing software solutions that align with business process flows, functional requirements, and system constraints.
Review and validate designs to ensure adherence to business and technical standards.
Proactively raise technical risks, dependencies, or design concerns to senior engineers, architects, or project managers.
Contribute to user interface (UI) designs, domain models, and system architecture diagrams under senior guidance.
Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable code following team standards and best practices, including SOLID principles and modern design patterns.
Assist in creating and maintaining common test data for automated tests.
Build, configure, and test application components, APIs, and system integrations.
Collaborate with developers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and architects to ensure application features meet functional, performance, and security requirements.
Communicate early and often with technical leads and project managers about issues impacting project timelines.
Support automated unit testing and participate in peer code reviews to maintain code quality.
Understand and follow agile ceremonies and workflows (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).

Proactively identify, escalate, and help resolve issues, blockers, and risks during development cycles.
Develop features and fix bugs based on detailed technical specifications, acceptance criteria, and user stories.

Bachelor's degree in progress in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Programming, Web Development, or a related field.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, including encapsulation, abstraction, inheritance, and polymorphism.
Hands-on experience through academic projects or personal projects involving server-side development using at least one programming language such as Java, .NET, PHP, Python, Node.js, or similar.
Basic proficiency with relational databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and the ability to write SQL queries.
Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Iterative).
Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues during development and testing.
Intermediate written and verbal English communication skills for documentation, meetings, and collaboration.
Strong willingness to continuously learn through formal training and self-directed learning.
