Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive contractor to support both the Accounting and Tax teams. This role will help ensure smooth day-to-day operations, support budget monitoring, assist with compliance processes and participate in selected Accounting/Tax projects. The position is suitable for candidates with relevant accounting/tax knowledge who are keen to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Responsibilities:

Accounting Support

  • Handle accounts payable and employee reimbursement operations
  • Assist with the implementation of fixed asset management systems
  • Maintain fixed asset tracking and support stock take exercises
  • Contribute to process improvement and AI-driven transformation initiatives for accounting operations

Tax Support

  • Assist in preparing and organizing basic tax data and supporting schedules
  • Support tax filing processes (e.g, GST and corporate income tax) by coordinating information collection
  • Support simple tax reconciliations and data verification
  • Maintain tax documentation and ensure proper filing/record keeping
  • Track tax deadlines and follow up with internal stakeholders
  • Monitor tax-related budgets and track expenses
  • Support invoice processing and vendor procurement activities
  • Provide general administrative support to the team

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in accounting and tax operations
  • Good understanding of accounting and tax concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with different stakeholders
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred
