The Team:
The Data Analytics & Transformation Team at Celonis leverages an integrated Data Lake to drive internal business intelligence, analyzing data across company operations, customer relationships, and employee touchpoints. As a Working Student within this team, you will focus specifically on the people data domain, helping to unlock insights that improve the internal workforce experience. You will collaborate with other analytics professionals to build dashboards and use advanced tools to understand team dynamics and engagement. This role bridges the gap between cutting-edge data architecture and impactful People strategy, offering a unique opportunity to grow your skills within a world-class tech environment.
The Position:
As a People Analytics Working Student, you will report to the Head of Strategic Intelligence & Business Partnering and analyze workforce data to uncover insights on turnover, engagement, and hiring trends. You will work alongside the company’s central analytics team to generate high-impact insights using advanced analytics tools. Additionally, you will help build data dashboards and maintain regular HR reports. This role offers hands-on experience with data visualization and HR systems.
The Work You’ll Do:
- Data Management: Support the accuracy and integrity of workforce data by helping maintain HR databases and systems such as Workday and Greenhouse. Collaborate with IT and data teams to contribute to improvements in HR data collection, privacy compliance, and analysis processes.
- Data Integration: Work closely with data engineers and IT teams to support the integration of employee data sources into Celocore and visualization tools. Contribute to the development and maintenance of ETL (extraction, transformation, loading) processes that enable HR reporting and analysis
- AI & HR Automation Support: Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of AI-powered HR Agents to automate routine people processes, improve employee self-service, and enhance data-driven decision-making within the HR ecosystem.
- Data Analysis: Support the analysis of data across the employee lifecycle (e.g., recruitment in Greenhouse, core HR metrics in Workday, engagement and retention). Help identify trends and patterns, applying basic statistical methods to generate meaningful insights.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Develop, maintain, and distribute reports and dashboards within Celocore (our internal Analytics environment) that track KPIs such as time-to-hire, turnover rates and performance. Ensure reports are accurate, secure, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Insight Generation: Contribute to the generation of insights that support workforce strategies, including talent segmentation, resource planning, and employee experience initiatives. Help translate data into actionable observations.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, various HR teams, and Business leadership, to ensure people strategies align with broader corporate goals. Facilitate the integration of workforce insights into overall business planning.
- Presentation of Insights: Support the preparation of presentations and visualizations to communicate findings to People teams and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and relevance of insights.
Requirements
- Graduated Bachelor’s- or Master’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering or a related field
- Prior experience with data analysis through academic projects, internships, or extracurricular work.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and SQL; working knowledge of Python is a plus
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as Gemini or Claude for productivity and analysis tasks
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis and data management best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Clear communication skills — ability to translate data findings into understandable insights for non-technical audiences
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Background or strong interest in HR Management
- Ability to work one-site from the Madrid Office
- Available to work 40h / week for 12 months
