You are responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of weddings at the hotel, working closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure all aspects of the event run smoothly. As an Wedding Sales Manager, you’re not just overseeing the execution of events at the hotel – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
The Wedding Sales Manager is responsible for driving wedding-related revenue by developing and executing sales strategies, securing new business opportunities, and managing the complete wedding sales lifecycle from initial enquiry through contract signing and event handover. This role delivers exceptional client experiences while maximizing banquet and catering revenue, maintaining Waldorf Astoria's luxury brand standards, and leading the wedding sales function to achieve commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve wedding revenue and profitability targets.
- Generate new business through proactive prospecting, referrals, partnerships, exhibitions, and networking activities.
- Respond promptly to wedding enquiries and conduct personalized venue tours and consultations.
- Build strong relationships with prospective couples, wedding planners, corporate partners, and key vendors.
- Prepare customized proposals, quotations, banquet event orders, and contracts aligned with client requirements.
- Negotiate pricing and contractual terms while protecting hotel profitability.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from enquiry to contract confirmation and event handover to operations.
- Collaborate closely with Banquet Operations, Culinary, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Finance to ensure seamless event execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities.
- Forecast wedding revenue, maintain accurate sales pipelines, and prepare management reports.
- Ensure all client information and activities are updated in the hotel's CRM system.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the wedding sales team to achieve departmental KPIs.
- Maintain the highest standards of guest service and resolve client concerns professionally.
- Represent the hotel at bridal fairs, networking events, and promotional activities.
- Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, hotel policies, and legal requirements.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field
Proven experience in event sales within a 5-star luxury hotel or high-end event venue
Strong background in social and corporate event sales with a demonstrated record of achieving revenue goals
Excellent client relationship management and negotiation skills
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and commercial capabilities
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Delphi or other sales management systems
Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset
