The Occupational Health Technician is responsible for scheduling and performing key occupational health regulatory and on-boarding tasks. These include pre-employment processing, drug testing,respirator fit testing, color blindness screening, record review, in addition to performing administrative functions such as documenting in an electronic health record, record management, filing, report generation, spreadsheets and graphs. Responsible for managing phone volume and walk-in office traffic while providing excellent customer service and representing the Occupational Health department. May involve travel or remote support for geographical team. Follows the direction of the RN Occupational Health Coordinator in performing various OH functions. Will be tasked with other assignments to meet the demands/expectations of the organization.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

 

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D., required
  • Two years of business college or other comparable secretarial training, preferred
  • Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association, required

 

Physical Requirements - Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
