Accountabilities:

    The Staff Engineer Software Eng provides technical leadership across software development initiatives, ensuring high-quality architecture, reliable applications, and continuous improvement of engineering practices. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to influence development teams without direct management responsibility.

    • Provide technical direction and guidance to onshore and offshore development teams on project deliverables and implementation approaches.
    • Review business requirements and technical documentation to design effective system solutions aligned with business objectives.
    • Develop, maintain, and support complex enterprise technology environments while ensuring reliability and scalability.
    • Lead code reviews, enforce development best practices, and promote strong testing and quality standards.
    • Contribute directly to software development, system administration, debugging, and technical problem resolution when required.
    • Support performance reviews and provide technical feedback related to developer growth, hiring, and promotion decisions.
    • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for escalated application issues and drive effective resolution.
    • Analyze application performance metrics and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
    • Lead the design, development, configuration, testing, and deployment of complex digital platforms.
    • Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture principles, technical standards, and development methodologies.
    • Drive improvements in software development processes, operational practices, and engineering efficiency.
    • Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable digital solutions.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate brings extensive software engineering experience, strong architectural knowledge, and the ability to lead technical initiatives in a complex enterprise environment.

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, and/or equivalent professional experience.
      • 8+ years of software development experience, including work on highly transactional, mission-critical applications.
      • Demonstrated expertise in software development best practices, including coding standards, source control, testing, build processes, and operations.
      • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and modern software architecture approaches.
      • Experience developing web and mobile applications within enterprise environments.
      • Advanced proficiency with technologies including JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap/Material Design, and related web frameworks.
      • Experience with CI/CD tools, Git, Jenkins, automated testing frameworks, and code quality tools.
      • Knowledge of cloud architectures, DevOps practices, and platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or similar cloud environments.
      • Experience integrating RESTful web services and optimizing web application performance.
      • Experience working with content management systems and enterprise digital platforms.
      • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or similar frameworks.
      • Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work remotely while collaborating effectively during Mountain Standard Time business hours.
