Role: Custodian (Swing)
Reports to: Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor
Scope: Facilities Services, ES2
Location: Reno, NV or Verdi, NV
Schedule: Swing Shift Sunday - Thursday, 1:30pm – 10:00pm

Compensation: $27.75 - $29.75

General Summary
The Custodian plays a critical role in the success of Patagonia by supporting warehouse operations by maintaining the cleanliness of the physical building, both inside and outside. This person is a member of the facilities team and will be responsible for performing daily, weekly, and projected cleaning throughout our facilities in Reno and Verdi, NV. In this role you must be passionate about our mission to save our home planet, exemplifying our culture, core values, and mission every day. As a member of this team, you will be encouraged to volunteer with local non-profits and to get outdoors to participate in our core sports.
What You’ll Do
•Clean and maintain building restrooms, stocking them with soap, towels and paper goods.
•Assist with upkeep and sweeping of grounds and cleaning of picnic tables as necessary.
•Dust and oil woodwork on a regular schedule.
•Clean Windows and entry doors
•Vacuum and spot clean carpet.
•Schedule and maintain cleaning of company refrigerators.
•Remove trash and recyclable materials from various departments.
•Assist with department moves as necessary.
•Provide set-up and clean-up for meetings and special events.
•Maintain copier rooms, keeping surfaces clear and clean and scrap paper & recycled bins emptied.
•Maintain kitchen area, keeping coffee area clean, dishes clean & put away, refill napkin dispensers, tables chairs & other surfaces clean, and floors swept and mopped.
•Operate floor scrubbing machine General warehouse cleaning as needed.
•Working with chemicals / operate chemical dispensing units.
•Properly measure chemicals that are not provided in dispenser form.
•Understand how to read MSDS sheets.
•Properly label chemicals.
•Wear proper PPE when working with chemicals.
Work in other areas as necessary:
• Work in Shipping, Repairs, Receiving, Worn Wear, Returns, Quality Control, and Inventory Control departments when necessary.
• When working in other departments you are expected to maintain at least the minimum productivity standards as applicable.

Experience You Bring
•1+ year of custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial, industrial, hospital, government or similar environment.
Physical Requirements
•Ability to complete repetitive tasks daily.
•Bending, lifting, climbing, walking, and standing for prolonged periods of time.
•Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
•Ability to safely team lift 70 lbs.
•Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs., at times above shoulder height.
•Possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.
•Ability to read and comprehend safety material and facility required documents.
•Must follow all warehouse safety requirements.
Hours of Operation
•Swing Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 1:30pm – 10:00pm
•Must be willing to work other days of the week if necessary.
•Extended hours occur during holidays and peak season.
Workplace Location Overview
This position is On-Site, requiring employees to work at our Reno, NV and/or Verdi, NV facilities during scheduled working hours.
