Accountabilities:
- Define and execute an AI strategy, operating model, and roadmap aligned with long-term business objectives and emerging technology trends.
- Identify opportunities where AI can improve customer value, operational efficiency, competitive advantage, and revenue growth.
- Build, lead, and scale a multidisciplinary AI and Data Science organization, including machine learning engineers, AI engineers, and data scientists.
- Establish team structures, technical standards, performance goals, governance frameworks, and accountability models.
- Create processes for evaluating, prioritizing, and managing AI initiatives based on business impact, data requirements, and implementation feasibility.
- Develop responsible AI practices covering governance, model usage, data access, privacy, security, and ethical considerations.
- Guide the development and deployment of machine learning systems, AI agents, predictive models, and production-grade AI solutions.
- Ensure machine learning systems are reliable, measurable, monitored, and scalable in enterprise environments.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, Customer Success, Sales, Finance, and other teams to identify and deliver high-value AI applications.
- Communicate AI strategy, progress, investments, and outcomes clearly to executive stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Evaluate AI vendors, platforms, and technologies to determine when solutions should be built internally, purchased, or combined.
- 10+ years of experience leading AI, machine learning, data science, software, or related technical teams.
- Proven experience developing technology strategies and delivering large-scale AI or data-driven initiatives.
- Strong understanding of modern AI and data science practices, including machine learning, large language models, agentic architectures, MLOps, and AI lifecycle management.
- Experience guiding production machine learning systems, model evaluation, governance, and operational reliability.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for executives and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior leadership decisions.
- Strong judgment in connecting AI investments to customer outcomes, revenue opportunities, efficiency improvements, and risk reduction.
- Commitment to responsible AI principles, including privacy protection, bias mitigation, and regulatory awareness.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with industrial technology, predictive maintenance, manufacturing, IoT, sensor-driven products, or enterprise SaaS environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, AWS, MLOps tooling, cloud data platforms, and enterprise integrations is desirable.
- Competitive base salary range of approximately $244,000 - $282,000 USD, plus equity opportunities and additional compensation.
