Accountabilities:

    The Senior Azure Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving enterprise cloud architecture while ensuring security, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency. This role partners closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to establish best practices and deliver robust cloud solutions.

    • Design and maintain Azure Landing Zones using the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) Enterprise-Scale, including management group structures, subscription governance, and policy-driven controls.
    • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform (Azure Verified Modules) and/or Bicep, creating reusable modules and automated CI/CD-based deployments.
    • Architect Azure networking solutions including hub-and-spoke and Virtual WAN designs, Azure Firewall Premium, Private Link, Private Endpoints, NSGs, UDRs, ExpressRoute, and VPN connectivity.
    • Design and operate production Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments, including cluster architecture, Azure CNI networking, workload identity, autoscaling, and GitOps delivery practices.
    • Establish identity and access management strategies using Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), managed identities, customer identity solutions, and RBAC models.
    • Implement cloud security and compliance solutions using Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Policy, Key Vault, and container/server security tools.
    • Support compliance initiatives aligned with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, and industrial security standards.
    • Drive FinOps and cloud cost optimization strategies through resource governance, tagging, reservations, savings plans, and chargeback/showback models.
    • Build and improve cloud observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and KQL-based monitoring solutions.
    • Lead Azure Well-Architected Framework reviews and improve DevOps practices, including pipeline security, secrets management, branch strategies, software supply-chain protection, and artifact management.
    • Guide technical decisions across teams while balancing reliability, security, performance, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.
    • Communicate architecture decisions clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced cloud architect with deep Azure expertise, strong infrastructure automation skills, and the ability to translate business and security requirements into scalable technical solutions.

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
      • 8–12 years of cloud engineering experience, including 5+ years designing and architecting enterprise-scale Azure environments.
      • Expert-level knowledge of Azure architecture, governance, and cloud platform standards.
      • Advanced experience with Azure Landing Zones and Cloud Adoption Framework Enterprise-Scale implementations.
      • Strong Infrastructure as Code expertise with Terraform and/or Bicep, including module development, state management, and automated deployment practices.
      • Extensive Azure networking experience, including hub-and-spoke architectures, Virtual WAN, Azure Firewall, Private Link, NSGs, hybrid connectivity, and enterprise network security.
      • Hands-on experience designing and managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) production environments, including GitOps practices.
      • Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM, managed identities, customer identity management, and RBAC at scale.
      • Experience implementing Azure security and compliance tooling, including Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure Policy, and Key Vault.
      • Experience with cloud cost management and FinOps methodologies.
      • Proficiency with Azure monitoring and observability tools, including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and KQL.
      • Experience leading architecture reviews and applying cloud best practices across reliability, security, and performance domains.
      • Strong DevOps background with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, secrets management, and software supply-chain security.
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and trade-offs to diverse audiences.
      • Ability to manage multiple initiatives, influence engineering teams, and establish cloud standards.
      • Preferred experience with Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), or equivalent certifications.
      • Preferred knowledge of multi-cloud environments, AI/ML platforms, MLOps, GenAI architectures, vector databases, and responsible AI practices.
