Accountabilities:

    The Bilingual Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing overdue accounts, supporting customers through payment resolution, and contributing to collection performance objectives. This role requires a customer-focused approach combined with strong organization and compliance awareness. Key responsibilities include:

    • Managing the collection of outstanding payments as an individual contributor within the collections process.
    • Reviewing accounts with overdue balances and identifying appropriate solutions to help customers return loans to current status.
    • Conducting inbound and outbound calls with customers to resolve outstanding debts and provide payment support.
    • Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly collection goals and performance metrics.
    • Documenting account activity, payment discussions, and resolution efforts accurately.
    • Applying negotiation and communication techniques to encourage successful payment outcomes.
    • Following established collections policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
    • Collaborating with team members and leadership to achieve department objectives.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate has experience in collections or customer-facing financial roles and demonstrates strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Required qualifications include:

      • 1–2 years of direct experience in credit and collections.
      • Knowledge of sales, negotiation, and persuasion techniques.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required.
      • Experience with telemarketing or financial products is preferred.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
      • Strong motivation, goal orientation, and ability to meet performance targets.
      • Professional demeanor and customer-focused approach.
      • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
      • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple account priorities.
