Accountabilities:
- Managing the collection of outstanding payments as an individual contributor within the collections process.
- Reviewing accounts with overdue balances and identifying appropriate solutions to help customers return loans to current status.
- Conducting inbound and outbound calls with customers to resolve outstanding debts and provide payment support.
- Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly collection goals and performance metrics.
- Documenting account activity, payment discussions, and resolution efforts accurately.
- Applying negotiation and communication techniques to encourage successful payment outcomes.
- Following established collections policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborating with team members and leadership to achieve department objectives.
- 1–2 years of direct experience in credit and collections.
- Knowledge of sales, negotiation, and persuasion techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required.
- Experience with telemarketing or financial products is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong motivation, goal orientation, and ability to meet performance targets.
