Accountabilities:

    As a Senior Acoustics Consultant, you will lead and support acoustical engineering projects while providing technical expertise, project guidance, and client-focused solutions. You will contribute to project delivery, team development, and relationship building across Canada and North America.

    • Serve as the acoustics lead or Project Manager for a diverse range of acoustics and multidisciplinary projects.
    • Lead acoustical consulting assignments from initial analysis through reporting, design recommendations, and project completion.
    • Support and mentor acoustics team members by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
    • Manage acoustics projects in Canada while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
    • Perform environmental and architectural acoustics assessments, including noise control, sound isolation, and room acoustics analysis.
    • Conduct field measurements, site observations, and technical evaluations to support project requirements.
    • Prepare acoustics reports, calculations, specifications, schedules, and drawing reviews.
    • Collaborate directly with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
    • Support business development initiatives by building client relationships and identifying new project opportunities.
    • Travel periodically for project meetings, site visits, and field activities as required.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in acoustical engineering, strong technical capabilities, and the ability to independently manage complex projects while collaborating effectively with clients and project teams.

      • 8–10+ years of experience in acoustics design, consulting, and measurement for the built environment.
      • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or another related STEM discipline.
      • Strong experience in environmental and architectural acoustics, particularly noise control involving mechanical and power generation equipment in urban and suburban settings.
      • Proven ability to design acoustical solutions, perform technical calculations, and prepare professional reports and specifications.
      • Experience conducting field measurements and construction observations.
      • Proficiency with acoustical modeling tools such as SoundPLAN.
      • Experience with vibration measurement is considered an asset.
      • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
      • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
      • Passion for delivering high-quality technical solutions and collaborating on complex engineering projects.
