Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain innovative services, tools, and infrastructure that improve secure container-based software delivery.
- Own critical and technically complex components of the engineering stack, acting as a subject matter expert and driving long-term technical direction.
- Develop scalable systems and improve existing tooling to support growing product demands and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and cross-functional partners to design features that enhance product capabilities and user value.
- Participate in roadmap planning by identifying technical challenges, prioritizing solutions, and ensuring successful execution.
- Drive engineering quality through thoughtful design, code reviews, technical guidance, and best practices.
- Mentor engineers, share technical knowledge, and help raise the overall engineering standards across teams.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of container build systems, infrastructure, and developer tooling.
- Support a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement through proactive communication and technical leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, compilers, build systems, Makefiles, and developer tooling.
- Deep expertise with containers, container registries, Docker, Kubernetes, and related cloud-native ecosystems.
- Strong experience designing and developing backend services or infrastructure tools using Go.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, including creating reusable modules and organizing scalable resources.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and production-grade engineering practices.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound technical decisions in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to a culture of engineering excellence.
- Open-source contribution experience is a plus.
- Competitive base salary range of $205,000 - $231,000 USD.
