Position Summary
Responsible for managing and executing all technical activities related to Field and Shop Services in Argentina, including inspection, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair supervision, warranty support, spare parts budgeting, planning of materials and resources, and pump system optimization.The position plays a strategic role in the internalization and development of the Services business, contributing directly to the 2026 revenue target of USD 1M, ensuring technical excellence, operational efficiency, safety compliance, customer satisfaction, and profitability.Provides technical assistance to Sales, Applications, Quality, Supply Chain and Planning, and supports Product Engineering when required.
Essential Responsibilities
1. Field Service & Technical Execution• Supervision of installation, commissioning and start-up of pumps and related components (motors, VFDs, lubrication systems, accessories, mechanical seal plans). • Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis and resolution of pump and system failures. • Perform and analyze operating condition measurements (flow, pressure, temperature, vibration). • Interpret hydraulic curves and evaluate pump performance. • Supervise dismantling and assembly activities in field. • Supervise repair and upgrade activities performed in ITT shop, suppliers’ facilities or customer plants. • Prepare detailed technical reports for each service intervention. 2. Planning, Budgeting and Operational Control• Prepare spare parts, materials and resource lists as input for Service budgeting. • Plan tools, logistics and manpower for field assistance. • Coordinate schedules with customers, Sales and internal departments. • Manage service documentation, reports, costs and service files. • Ensure achievement of defined Service KPIs. • Manage and maintain Service tools and equipment. 3. Health, Safety and Compliance (ESH)• Identify health and safety risks before field/shop activities and implement necessary precautions. • Ensure compliance with ITT ESH&S policies and customer safety standards. • Ensure proper use of PPE and completion of safety documentation. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents and near misses. • Participate in safety meetings and promote a safety culture. • Ensure compliance with ITT Code of Conduct and Ethics. 4. Commercial & Business Development Support• Analyze pump systems and develop proposals for improvement and optimization. • Identify sales opportunities during field service activities and provide feedback to Sales and Applications. • Provide technical support for warranty claims, including field data collection and cost analysis. • Support preparation of technical documentation and material lists associated with service orders. • Deliver technical training to customers, suppliers and ITT personnel. • Support Product Engineering during periods of low service demand. 5. Cross-Functional Technical Support• Provide technical assistance to Sales, Applications, Quality, Supply Chain and Planning. • Review customer specifications when required. • Support technical definition and system configuration when linked to service activities. • Assist in ERP material configuration and bill of material processes related to Services.
Position Requirements
Minimum professional and educational background desired (include years of experience):Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Services, Production, Assembly or Field Service within rotating equipment industry.Experience in centrifugal, progressing cavity and twin screw pumps.Experience in field supervision and customer-facing technical roles.
