What will you do?
- Develop and maintain full-stack solutions across a diverse tech stack (Java, Python, Node.js, Angular, Spring Boot), contributing to both front-end and back-end features while continuously learning and adapting to evolving technologies.
- Build and support data engineering pipelines integrating cloud platforms (Snowflake, OpenShift, AWS) with automation, databases, and workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Ansible, Stone Branch) to deliver reliable, scalable data flows.
- Own CI/CD and DevOps practices by designing and maintaining pipelines using GitHub Actions and Helios, managing containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift, and upholding code quality through automated testing frameworks.
- Apply AI tools effectively across the SDLC, from design and development through testing and deployment, to support better decision-making and higher quality outcomes.
- Solve complex, cross-functional technical problems independently by identifying inefficiencies and taking innovative ideas from proof-of-concept all the way through to production-ready solutions.
- Participate in walkthroughs, design reviews, and technical discussions, contributing to specifications and producing clear technical design documentation.
- Collaborate with business partners, BAs, and technical teams through meetings and presentations, translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders to drive informed decisions.
- Stay current with best practices and provide recommendations that influence decisions beyond your immediate work area, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 5+ years of software development experience with languages such as Java, Python and JavaScript, with a strong foundation in SQL and a willingness to contribute across a diverse tech stack including Angular, Node.js, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.
- Proven experience delivering full-stack and data engineering solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OpenShift, or similar), comfortable working across VMs and Linux-based environments, with solid skills in database design, automation, and integrating distributed systems.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and quality assurance through automated testing frameworks, with strong version control and code review practices using GitHub.
- Practical experience applying AI tools across the software development lifecycle, including areas such as code generation, testing, and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a track record of independently owning technical challenges from design through to production-ready delivery.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams and translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with both row-based and columnar databases such as PostgreSQL and Snowflake, and an understanding of how to apply each for different data workloads.
- Familiarity with workflow automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Airflow, or Stone Branch; experience with application monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace to support operational stability and diagnose production issues.
- Experience working within agile teams, contributing to ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, while fostering a collaborative culture of continuous improvement.
- Exposure to AI development patterns and tooling such as agentic workflows, Model Context Protocol (MCP), LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph), and RAG-based architectures, with an interest in building AI-powered tools and services.
