In this role as a Safety Technician here at JLG, you will play a vital part in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace by conducting industrial hygiene evaluations, developing and delivering safety training, and serving as a trusted safety and environmental resource across our production facility. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement in regulatory compliance, injury prevention, and best practices company-wide.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Conducting industrial hygiene evaluations in manufacturing facilities

  • Developing and teaching safety and environmental training sessions

  • Serving as an internal safety and environmental consultant to all JLG locations

  • Maintain all industrial hygiene equipment, including maintenance and calibrations

  • Assist with gathering and reporting on company injury statistics

  • Assist with JLG Safety and Environmental Compliance Program review

  • Perform site visits to improve regulatory compliance and best practices

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in Safety, Health, or Environmental field

  • 1-plus years of environmental and/or safety experience

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual in Spanish

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing/production facility

  • Background in environmental regulations

  • Must be willing to travel to various plant locations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to perform basic statistical analysis and interpret data

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations.

  • The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting items up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing, or using tools and equipment.

  • Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.

  • Visual and auditory acuity are needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication in a busy workspace.

Pay Range:

$42,100.00 - $64,500.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
