Work across frontend and backend technologies, contribute to technical direction within your area of expertise, and collaborate with experienced engineers to build reliable, maintainable, and high-quality software.
As a Software Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing frontend applications and supporting API services for cloud management solutions
- Integrating applications with platform services and downstream systems across Akamai's cloud ecosystem
- Troubleshooting complex technical challenges and driving improvements to application quality, maintainability, and performance
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Demonstrate strong professional experience developing backend services using Python
- Possess experience building modern web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript and frontend frameworks such as React
- Have good knowledge of Internet protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL
- Have willingness to learn new frameworks and programming languages
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
