The Role
ASM Chilltech is seeking motivated and reliable Trades Assistants to join our growing service team, supporting refrigeration technicians and mechanical service teams across a range of client facilities. In this role, you will assist with maintenance, installation, and repair works while helping ensure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with ASM Chilltech quality and compliance standards. You will play an important part in supporting daily operations through site preparation, equipment handling, housekeeping, compliance activities, and general labouring duties across HVAC and refrigeration projects. Working closely with experienced technicians, you will gain valuable industry experience while contributing to high-quality service delivery across ASM Chilltech operations.

- Assist refrigeration technicians with installation, service, and maintenance activities
- Prepare tools, equipment, and materials required for daily works
- Support safe site setup including barricading, signage, and housekeeping
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transport of equipment and materials
- Carry out basic labouring and maintenance tasks under supervision
- Assist with stock control, deliveries, and workshop organisation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of vehicles, tools, and workshop areas
- Support technicians with documentation, job records, and compliance requirements
- Identify and report hazards, incidents, and unsafe work conditions
- Follow all safety procedures, SWMS, permits, and client site requirements
- Attend toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions as required
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Previous experience in a Trades Assistant or labouring role desirable
- Experience working within HVAC, refrigeration, construction, or building services industries highly regarded
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
- Current Driver’s Licence desirable
- White Card (Construction Induction Card) preferred
