Role Overview
The Senior Manager, Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM), Reporting and Strategic Insights, Canada is a strategic leadership role accountable for delivering executive and Board-level reporting, strategic insights, and governance support for the FCRM Canada program. The role reports to the Associate Vice President, FCRM Reporting and Strategic Insights, Canada, and partners closely with senior FCRM stakeholders to drive transparency, alignment, and effective oversight of financial crime risk.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead strategic planning for the FCRM Canada program in consultation with the Head of FCRM Canada and senior leadership, including monitoring and reporting on progress against Board-committed priorities, objectives, and success measures.
- Own the development of FCRM Canada program updates for Board and executive reporting, including quarterly reporting to the Enterprise Risk Management Committee (ERMC) and TDBG Audit Committee, and remediation updates to the ERMC Remediation Subcommittee and TDBG Remediation Committee, providing clear, decision-oriented insights on key program matters, risks, and trends to support effective oversight.
- Draft executive-level speaking notes and materials for the Head of FCRM Canada, Global Chief Anti-Money Laundering Officer (CAMLO), and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in support of Board and executive committee engagements.
- Deliver regular reporting on material FCRM Canada program developments, including weekly updates to the Head of FCRM Canada, Global CAMLO, and CRO.
- Manage the centralized intake, prioritization, and review of materials requiring Head of FCRM Canada and/or Global CAMLO awareness or approval, ensuring alignment with governance expectations.
- Produce key Enterprise Risk Management deliverables, including the TD Risk Dashboard, FCRM risk profile, and top and emerging risks, synthesizing data and qualitative inputs into clear, action-oriented insights.
- Respond to ad hoc executive and Board-related requests with timely, high-quality analysis, presentations, and memoranda.
- Partner with the Office of CAMLO, Global FCRM Reporting, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment, consistency, and transparency of reporting across jurisdictions.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of reporting procedures and job aids to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit-defensibility.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, scalability, and insight generation, while reinforcing strong governance and accountability.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment and supporting strong individual and team performance.
Skills, Education & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in AML/FCRM, risk management, compliance, or a related field
- University degree preferred; CAMS designation considered an asset
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience delivering executive- and Board-level materials
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and experience developing executive presentations.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and matrixed environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across senior and cross-jurisdictional teams.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, with a focus on coaching, development, and performance management.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and governance discipline.
- Experience driving process improvements and leveraging automation to enhance efficiency and scalability.
